Nurse Manager – Heart & Lungs (For Our Client)

Experience
10–15 years of progressive experience in cardiac & thoracic nursing
Minimum 3 years in a supervisory/managerial role within heart & lung or critical care services

Position Overview
Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Heart & Lung Service Line, ensuring regulatory compliance, quality excellence, operational efficiency, and improved patient outcomes. Collaborate closely with the IPU Chief to drive performance and growth.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee cardiac & thoracic unit workflows, patient safety, and resource utilization
Ensure compliance with infection control, medication, and surgical safety standards
Implement evidence-based clinical protocols and care pathways
Develop service line strategies aligned with hospital objectives
Lead quality initiatives and monitor KPIs
Mentor and develop nursing staff

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Surgical Site Infection ≤ 1%
ICU LOS ≤ 48 hours
30-day Readmission Rate ≤ 12%
VAE Rate ≤ 1.5–2 per 1,000 ventilator days
Door-to-Balloon Time ≤ 90 minutes
